Again, we want to thank you all for your continued support! You blew our expectations out of the water and we cannot wait to share more about the Almanac game series! So let's get started!

3 GOALS UNLOCKED ON DAY 1?!?!? Incredible.
We shared a bit in our funding update about the trails encounter cards, and we're excited to share all 5 of the first set available through our stretch goals! These 5 will ship with the game, which allows you to play Almanac using BOTH Dragon Road and Crystal Peaks!
If you're new to the roads and peaks and trails, encounter cards are essentially a break from gathering goods to then press your luck or brave the battles in a choose your own adventure "Truth or Dare" style, mechanic. What we REALLY like about this gameplay feature is that between the "clean up phase" from each page, there is still adventure to be had! And while you are resetting your workers, etc, you still have choices to make that can affect your next round of gameplay!
Caravan cards are essentially your starting inventory limit. You can place resources on each of the squares but until you purchase new caravan cards you'll be stuck with this limited inventory space.
PEAKS TIP: Always try to gain new caravan cards early off they will help you carry more resources but can also increase your shield score which will help you defeat later in-game encounters! These 4 cards will give each player a unique ability they can utilize to help shift the game in their favor!
The contract cards are truly the meat of the game as they will reward you upon completion with the most victory points at the end of the game! Plus each card has a unique ability that can be used as well to chain some awesome combos and make use of each of your workers! We've made sure that for Crystal Peaks each card feels uniquely different making each of them worthy of taking a glance over before making your move!
If you made it this far in the update, we appreciate the commitment, we had a lot to say today and quite frankly we're very excited to be communicating with you every step of the way during this campaign. Expect a lot more from us tomorrow!
